According to ESPN and various other sources Carmelo Anthony is soon to be a Knick. For sure. Actually. Confirmed.
This is good for a few reasons:
1) ESPN broadcasting will actually direct some of its attention to tangible pieces of information as compared to speculation...assuming this NBA lock out business doesn't take center stage.
2) The Knicks can benefit from having such a strong front court although they will apparently lose Danilo Galinari, Raymond Felton, and Wilson Chandler. It looks as if they will acquire Chauncey Billups however who may work very well with rookie Landry Fields in the Knick's backcourt.
3) This is good for the NBA. The Knicks have all the infrastructure necessary to make themselves a likable, fun, team for America to watch. New York is the US's basketball city. Madison Square Garden is the best basketball arena in the country.
Only one thing comes to mind when thinking of bad news and that's Spike Lee's trash-talking grounds.

Man I don't know. The Nuggets gave up quite a alot, but good for the Knicks. Check out JA Adande's twitter he's all over it. @ JAdande
ReplyDeleteso i think this big three might prove to be a better team than Miami's...i like the pt grd., small forward, big man combo better than the 2,3,4 combo...what say ye?
ReplyDeleteMan, I just watched the Bucks game. This team is gonna be really fun to watch. New York is finally going back on track to being a decent franchise.
